A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Senior Environmental Advisor to support its Energy South team on high-voltage and substation projects. This is a key role combining traditional environmental advisory responsibilities with a focus on managing and supporting environmental consents.

The successful Senior Environmental Advisor will:
  • Provide advice on environmental compliance, sustainability, and risk across projects

  • Manage or support construction-related consents, permits, and licenses (e.g., EA, ecology, LA approvals)

  • Liaise with statutory bodies to ensure timely approvals and compliance with legal frameworks

  • Support environmental assessments, audits, and incident response in line with ISO 14001

  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement across the team

You will need:
  • Experience in an environmental role within infrastructure, civil engineering, or utilities

  • Familiarity with English permitting systems and DCO-related processes

  • Confident working with regulators and multi-disciplinary project teams

  • A degree or equivalent in an environmental or ecological discipline

  • A full UK driving licence – this is a field-based role
