HSE Recruitment Network are recruiting for a Senior Environmental Advisor to work on a nationally significant infrastructure project in Scotland. The role will be focused on ensuring environmental compliance, risk management, and performance improvement across all project activities.

Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and delivery of environmental management plans, ensuring project activities align with legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and monitoring to identify risks, drive improvements, and maintain environmental performance standards.
  • Advise project teams on environmental best practice, provide training, and support the integration of sustainability measures such as biodiversity and carbon initiatives across the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with regulators, local authorities and stakeholders to facilitate compliance, manage incidents and support effective mitigation strategies.
  • Lead reporting on environmental performance, investigate incidents and contribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practice sharing.
Essential Qualifications/Experience
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Full UK (manual) drivers license
  • 3+ years in a similar advisory role within construction/civil engineering industry ideally on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Recognised 3rd level qualification in Environmental Management (or similar)
