Senior Environmental Advisor - SHEQ Team

Due to ongoing growth, my client is looking for a Senior Environmental Advisor to join the SHEQ team. You will work closely with the Head of Environment and the project director, gaining valuable industry experience. The team is led by a professional and approachable individual, making the work environment enjoyable.

You will be based in Bristol or Swindon and work on the CP7 framework, which includes various small packages such as embankment stabilization, vegetation clearance, and rockfall protection. The role involves working from the design stage through to delivery. This position does not involve team management but offers significant growth opportunities, including potential advancement to an environmental manager role. Experience in rail projects is essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the development and implementation of the sustainability strategy for the business.
2. Ensure compliance with environmental standards and promote best practices across the industry.
3. Deliver environmental and sustainability training to all project team levels.
4. Contribute to making a meaningful impact within the company through environmental initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree or Foundation Degree (HND, HNC) in a relevant field.
• Qualifications such as PIEMA or REnvP are desirable.
• At least 3 years of experience as a senior environmental advisor within a UK-based civil engineering contractor.
