What we are looking for

We seek an experienced Senior Environment & Sustainability Advisor to join our Perth team. You will develop and implement environmental strategies, policies, and initiatives to ensure compliance, minimize impacts, and promote sustainability.

  • Support the delivery of sustainability action plans
  • Provide expert advice on environmental matters, championing best practices and compliance
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and health & safety teams to integrate environmental considerations
  • Conduct audits, assessments, and inspections to identify improvements and ensure policy adherence
  • Investigate environmental incidents, implement lessons learned, and communicate findings
  • Utilize environmental data to identify trends and develop reports for management
  • Work with regulatory agencies, consultants, and clients on permits, reporting, and compliance
  • Create and present environmental training and awareness campaigns
  • Assess risks and opportunities, and develop environmental management plans for projects
  • Stay updated on environmental trends, technologies, and regulations
  • Assist in setting and achieving sustainability goals and initiatives

What you need to be successful

You should hold a Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field with relevant certifications (e.g., IEMA, IEEM / CIWEM) and have at least 3 years of proven experience. You need a strong understanding of environmental legislation, regulations, and best practices, with analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret environmental data and occasional travel to sites is required. A commitment to environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility is essential.
