What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Senior Environment & Sustainability Advisor to join the team in Perth. You will play a key role in developing and implementing environmental strategies, policies, and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations, minimise environmental impacts, and promote sustainability across our operations.

  1. Support the delivery on sustainability action plans.
  2. Offer expert advice and support to internal stakeholders on environmental matters, championing best practices and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and health & safety, to integrate environmental and sustainability considerations into business processes and decision-making.
  4. Conduct environmental audits, assessments, and inspections to uncover opportunities for enhancement and guarantee adherence to environmental policies and procedures.
  5. Play a crucial role in investigating environmental incidents, ensuring that valuable lessons are learned, and implementing appropriate actions. These insights and actions will be effectively communicated to prevent future occurrences.
  6. Utilise the findings from environmental performance data, uncover trends and opportunities for enhancement, and develop insightful reports for management review.
  7. Collaborate with regulatory agencies, external consultants, clients, and third-party organisations on matters related to environmental permitting, reporting, and compliance.
  8. Create and present engaging environmental training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees and foster a culture of environmental sustainability.
  9. Assess sustainability risks and opportunities and assist in the development of environmental management plans for new projects and developments.
  10. Keep up-to-date with emerging environmental trends, technologies, and regulations, and evaluate their potential impact on company operations.
  11. Assist in the development and implementation of environmental sustainability goals, targets, and initiatives.

What You Need To Be Successful

You will need a Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field with relevant certifications (e.g., IEMA, IEEM / CIWEM etc.), with 3+ years of proven experience.

You will also need sound knowledge of environmental legislation, regulations, and best practices, with the ability to interpret and apply requirements effectively. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret environmental data.

Ability to travel occasionally to company sites and project locations as needed and commitment to promoting environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
