Job summary

Staffline in the FMCG/IT sector is seeking a Head of Enterprise Architecture for a contract role based in Southampton. Hybrid work arrangement. The role oversees architecture governance, standards, and the technology strategy to support the enterprise plan.

You will lead architecture teams, act as the senior technical authority, manage governance forums, and coordinate internal and external resources to deliver across Business Applications, Cloud, Data and analytics, and security domains.

Qualifications

• Understanding of TOGAF, SABSA or equivalent.
• Experience leading architecture teams within a complex enterprise environment.
• Proven ability across Enterprise / Solution Architecture and Governance roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and represent the Architecture function with integrity and professionalism.
• Act as the senior technical authority for architecture across the organisation.
• Own principles, standards, governance processes, review methods and assurance activities.
• Ensure architecture outputs align with enterprise standards and quality requirements.
• Chair architecture governance forums including the Architecture Review Board.
• Maintain visibility of technical debt, architecture risks and standards compliance.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to inform future strategy.
• Manage architecture demand, prioritisation, resources and utilisation.
• Coordinate internal architecture resources and third-party partners.
• Provide architecture oversight across project and programme delivery.
