Job summary

QBE Europe is seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect to join our London Office and drive modernization in our technology and transformation function. The role offers a hybrid working pattern with flexibility and is pivotal to shaping our enterprise architecture across domains.

You will guide technology direction, standards, and roadmaps, while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver global programs and cost-efficient technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise as Enterprise Architect with delivery of large programs.
• Strong knowledge of insurance/finance domain and underwriting technology.
• Experience with third-party suppliers, outsourcing and cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to analyse problems, design techniques and manage parallel architecture programs.
• Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder alignment skills.
• Extensive experience delivering large-scale programs and influencing policy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technology assurance and governance to ensure alignment with architecture policy and practices.
• Maximise alignment and reuse of technology to achieve cost efficiencies.
• Deliver strategies, principles, policies and roadmaps for assigned domains.
• Establish foundational enterprise solution architectures for domains.
• Lead the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines for technology solutions.
• Provide oversight on large projects to support business objectives.
• Promote architectural ways of working and governance.
• Research emerging architecture and technology trends.
• Ensure Solution Architects understand project strategic direction.
