UK Ministry of Defence is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to translate business strategy into actionable change and drive technical delivery across departments. You will shape target architectures, support senior architects, and collaborate with partners to meet evolving capability needs.

The role focuses on developing enterprise models, ensuring consistency with strategy, and applying cloud, IAM, and PKI concepts in a complex interlinked landscape.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of architecture principles and modelling to document current and future state.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with architectural frameworks, languages and methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and cloud migration strategies.
• Experience implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM) and PKI.
• Strong problem-solving and alignment of technical solutions with business goals.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Enterprise level models, including as-is and target models.
• Network and communicate with stakeholders across domains, enterprises and government departments to develop the models.
• Identify influences or risks and provide mitigations to minimise impact.
• Use emerging technologies and approaches, horizon scanning to develop target architectures.
• Identify opportunities for improvement.
• Play an active part in the team and understand how to deliver the team’s objectives, to meet organisational goals.
