Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd. is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the technology architecture across its customer-facing digital estate, including Grocery Home Shopping and Customer platforms.

You will define the technology strategy, target architectures and transformation roadmap underpinning Asda's digital commerce ambitions, and drive the strategic migration to the Ocado platform ecosystem. You will work with senior leaders to shape investment priorities, set architecture governance,

Qualifications

• Significant Enterprise Architecture experience within digital, customer or eCommerce domains.
• Strong knowledge of online retail, customer experience and digital commerce platforms.
• Experience leading complex transformation programmes and large technology roadmaps.
• Expertise in architecture governance, operating models, technology strategy and roadmap development.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
• Experience designing highly resilient, scalable and integrated platforms.
• Broad knowledge of cloud technologies, integration patterns, data platforms and modern engineering practices.
• An ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technology strategy and architecture roadmap for eCommerce and Customer platforms.
• Provide architectural leadership for grocery/home shopping transformation and migration to Ocado.
• Develop target-state, transition and integration architectures that support business growth.
• Govern technology decisions, architecture standards and solution designs across the domain.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to shape investment priorities and initiatives.
• Promote modern architectural approaches including API-led, event-driven and cloud-native patterns.
• Drive simplification of the technology estate and improve platform re-use.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on digital commerce and customer technology strategy.
