Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Current Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at appropriate level of qualification. If electrically qualified, a current Electro-technical Certification Scheme (ECS) Card is required. (Persons without the appropriate card will not be considered).
- City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Willingness to act as AP and RP Medgas as required.
- Time served apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical biased discipline.
- Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety guidelines, statutes, and ACOPs.
- Understanding of L8 Legionella ACOP within hospital buildings.
- High level of organization & time management skills, especially in environments with multiple priorities.
- Sound fault-finding techniques and ability to read drawings.
- Proficient in PC use, including relevant software and systems.
Duties include:
- Prompt completion of work orders for planned maintenance, reactive responses, specialist subcontract work, and remedial work.
- Provide routine and specialized engineering maintenance and breakdown support at a hospital site.
- Offer technical, health, safety, and environmental support, acting as a role model for company policies.
- Train and mentor site technicians and assistants.
- Advise hospital management on engineering matters.
- Maintain high engineering standards with integrity.
- Foster a strong team ethos.
- Work across multiple hospital sites within the group as needed.
