Balfour Beatty Highways is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead engineering and design management on the A57 Mottram Moor Link Road scheme in the Manchester/Longdendale area. You will manage a multi-disciplinary team and ensure design integration across all disciplines.

The role requires extensive experience in highways projects, NEC contracts, and leadership of teams; you will collaborate with supply chain, clients and designers to deliver safely and efficiently, with a strong emphasis

Qualifikationen

• Civil Engineering degree or HND required.
• CSCS and SMSTS qualifications are essential.
• Experience with highways projects preferred.
• Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team on large schemes (£50M+).
• Knowledge of NEC form of contract.

About the role

Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team on the Highways A57 Mottram Moor Link Road Scheme, this role will be based within the Manchester / Longdendale area. Subsistence can be provided if you are based further afield.

We provide high quality asset strategy, management, and planning consultancy services to a wide range of public and private sector customers. We provide specialist, reliable, sustainable, and creative advice for asset management planning and implementation in the UK. We put our customers first and prioritise completing schemes safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

What you'll be doing

To provide engineering and design management, strong leadership and control of a multi-disciplinary team comprising engineering resources at project level.

Ensure full design integration between all design disciplines is achieved and assessed for all build ability aspects during both the development stage and construction stage of a scheme.

Facilitate strong links with other teams within and external to the project to ensure the efficient delivery of the Project.

Support the overall engineering strategy for the business and BB clients. Engage with the Supply Chain, Clients, Designers and other framework Delivery Partners to maximise knowledge share to provide efficiencies that will assist the National Highways in achieving the National Highways Roads Delivery Programme.

Utilise engineering team specialists to provide on-site training for new recruits/site engineers.

Who we're looking for

• Civil Engineering Degree or HND


• CSCS and SMSTS


• Tier 1 Main Contractor experience or Tier 2 Regional Contractor


• Experience working on Civil Engineering Projects (Highways Preferred but not Essential)


• Experience working on schemes £50Mil+


• Experience managing a Team


• Able to demonstrate excellent working H&S Knowledge


• Experience with NEC Form of Contract


• Experience working on a project from ECI through to Handover (Preferred but not Essential)


• Drivers License
