Join Our Team as a Senior Engineer Lead - EV Battery Remanufacturing Europe.

Are you passionate about sustainability and innovation in the electric mobility sector? We're looking for a Senior Engineer Lead to spearhead our EV battery remanufacturing efforts across Europe. Based in Rugby in the UK, you'll lead a dynamic team in Rugby and Ede, collaborating with our US counterparts to set global standards.

Why This Role Matters: You'll play a pivotal role in extending the lifespan of EV batteries, reducing waste, and promoting sustainability. Your expertise will help us develop cutting-edge processes and technologies to refurbish EV batteries, making a significant impact on the environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead Remanufacturing Processes: Design and optimize processes for disassembly, inspection, testing, repair, and reassembly of EV batteries.
  • Integrate Advanced Technologies: Develop and implement solutions to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Ensure Quality: Establish quality control measures to meet or exceed original performance and safety standards.
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work with suppliers, vendors, and customers to recondition battery components and maintain strong relationships with OEM partners.
  • Analyze and Optimize: Use data analytics to enhance productivity and resource utilization.
  • Stay Compliant: Keep up with regulations and standards to ensure environmental and safety compliance.
  • Cross-functional Teamwork: Coordinate efforts with engineering, operations, quality assurance, and sustainability teams.
  • Manage Partnerships: Develop and scale up remanufacturing capabilities with suppliers and third-party facilities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s or PhD preferred).
  • Experience: 8+ years in battery remanufacturing or related fields, preferably in the automotive or EV industry.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of battery systems, diagnostics, and testing equipment.
  • Process Engineering: Experience in process design, optimization, and control, with a preference for automation and robotics solutions.
  • Problem-solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing projects from start to finish.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
