Position: Senior Engineer - Vehicle Dynamics - Tyre Specialist

Location: Hybrid Working - 2/3 days on site in Leamington Spa

Position Type: Contract

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a client who are creating exceptional cars that blend British elegance with ferocious intelligence to forge a new legacy, forever. They have also just teamed up with a high-end low volume client which will bring astonishing things together.

They are looking for a Senior Engineer - Vehicle Dynamics - Tyre Specialist to join their team on a long-term rolling contract basis working 42 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

• Accountable for Tyre and effects on Vehicle level performance across the platform.
• Responsible for Tire Targets, CAE models development, Physical tuning activity and Supplier management.
• To Plan Tire CAE and Testing within the program milestones.
• Lead Tire Integration with stakeholders beyond VD.
• Proactive collaboration with Program Leads and CAE/Performance engineers is key for success in the role.

Core Requirements

• V. Dynamics / relevant for role = ideally 8+ Years experience.
• High Theoretical Tire characteristics and dynamics knowledge.
• High CAE Tire models knowledge and their MBS analysis integration.
• High knowledge of Tire Testing and performance tuning.
• Good Theoretical vehicle dynamics knowledge.
• Good understanding of Customer Subjective Perception from Objective Performance data.
• Good knowledge of data processing sw (e.g. MatLab).
