Your opportunity

The Senior Test Automation Engineer position at JHI is targeted towards experienced professionals who have a proven track record in leading test automation projects and mentoring junior engineers. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and innovative projects involving Snowflake, Azure Service Bus, Charles-River, SAP, etc., and to leverage advanced testing frameworks like Playwright, Specflow, and custom in-house Python-based applications within Agile and TDD methodologies. The ideal candidate will tackle challenging problems, lead strategic project contributions, and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence in a supportive and dynamic environment.

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced test automation scripts using frameworks such as Playwright, and others, in languages like C# and Python.
  • Lead all phases of the testing lifecycle, focusing on comprehensive coverage across functional and non-functional testing (e.g., performance, load), encompassing Data, API, and UI layers.
  • Oversee BAU activities, ensuring the resolution of bugs, functional enhancements, and the implementation of user feedback within our key in-built quality frameworks.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between test automation architects and the engineering team, driving the overall quality strategy and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels, providing advanced technical support, demonstrations, and training.
  • Identify, advocate for, and implement improvements in our testing processes and tools, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic quality objectives.

Must have skills

  • Advanced proficiency in C#, Python, Javascript, SQL.
  • Extensive experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Specflow, etc.
  • Deep understanding of Agile and TDD methodologies.
  • Proven track record of writing, executing, and maintaining complex test scripts.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead testing efforts and mentor junior team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on consensus building and collaboration.
  • Strong Microsoft Skills, including PowerPoint & Excel; understand and document Process Maps using tools such as Visio.
  • A good knowledge of financial products used in Asset Management including, Equities, Cash, Fixed Income and complex Swap instruments.

Nice to have skills

  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps, Azure, Git, and SQL.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence.
