Job summary

SP Energy Networks in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Engineer to deliver key safety and compliance programmes across the electricity distribution network, including asbestos management, fire risk and flood risk prevention.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, drive asset integrity and business performance, manage projects and contract delivery, and lead a small team with strong data capture and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven project or programme management experience with a strong track record.
• Experience delivering distribution network or infrastructure projects.
• Strong IT and systems skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safety and compliance programmes across the electricity distribution network.
• Oversee projects to improve substation safety, performance and resilience.
• Lead contract management, project delivery, financial control and auditing.
• Apply asset management and engineering principles to enhance network safety and longevity.
• Champion a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure accurate data capture across corporate systems.
• Provide quality and financial assurance for projects delivered by a small team.
