Job summary
Haskoning in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Engineer (River and Coastal Resilience) to lead delivery of fluvial and coastal flood risk projects across the UK, from feasibility through detailed design and construction support. Projects span Brighton, Peterborough, Leeds, Exeter, and Newcastle, with UK/Europe-wide collaboration on climate resilience.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (essential) and ideally a Master’s, plus Chartered or near-Chartered status and at least 5
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (essential) and Master’s degree (desirable) in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered or nearly Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng)
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience of technical delivery of fluvial and/ or coastal flood defence schemes (or equivalent)
Responsibilities
- Deliver coastal and flood defence projects from feasibility to detailed design and construction support.
- Lead design teams and coordinate with UK/European climate resilience teams.
- Prepare technical project reports including feasibility studies, option appraisal reports and business cases.
- Manage and direct junior staff and coach them in technical matters.
- Ensure Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Integrity in all actions.
