Job summary

SP Energy Networks in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Engineer (Design - Primary Projects) to shape and deliver major substation and network projects. You will design network solutions up to 33kV, develop robust investment plans and collaborate with stakeholders to meet regulatory and customer needs.

You will support ED3 investment plans, mentor engineers, and travel across Central and Southern Scotland. The role offers hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days on site, delivering tangible

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in electrical network design and development, up to 33kV.
  • Knowledge of electricity distribution networks and standards.
  • Understanding of regulatory environment and investment drivers.
  • Ability to balance technical, commercial and customer considerations.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience using network analysis and modelling tools.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Central and Southern Scotland.
