Senior Engineer - Cloud

Location: Hybrid

Job type: Full time, Permanent

Telent is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join the Network Services division. This hybrid role involves working both remotely and from an office (preferably Warwick or Camberley). The ideal candidate will have skills in On-Premises and Azure Cloud environments and must be eligible for UK Security Clearance due to the UK Government client.

The Senior Cloud Engineer will develop and strengthen relationships with customers, ensure high service standards, and act as a bridge between engineering and service teams. You will also support professional services and sales initiatives, serving as a cloud technology evangelist.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading technical requirements for assigned customer accounts
• Mentoring internal teams and training customers on On-premises and Azure solutions
• Monitoring incidents and reporting on account health
• Identifying trends and security threats impacting customers
• Maintaining technical documentation and supporting proof of concept activities
• Participating in customer meetings and leading value-added projects
• Producing design documentation and ensuring accurate timesheet submissions
• Adhering to GDPR and security policies

Candidate Profile:

• Experience supporting Data Centre and Cloud Infrastructure
• Proficiency in Cloud, On-premises, and Azure technologies
• Strong work ethic, ownership, and stakeholder collaboration skills
• Passion for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
• Customer-facing with a proactive attitude

Qualifications:

• VCP - VMware Certified Professional (required)
• VCP - VMware Certified Professional 6.1 (required)
• MSCE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or equivalent
• MSCE: Productivity or equivalent
• VCIX (desirable)
