Senior Engineer - Fixed Term Opportunities (Operations) based in Belfast
Contract: 30-month fixed term (to 2028)

MCS Group is recruiting a number of fixed term opportunities within our client's System Operations team, central to keeping the power system secure and the electricity market running smoothly.

As a Senior Engineer, you'll play a key role in planning, analysis, and delivery across areas such as:

  • Power system operations and analysis
  • Grid and Network Code management
  • Control Centre readiness and compliance
  • Technical policy development and audits
  • Market analysis, data validation, and tariff modelling

You will work on critical projects shaping the future of the electricity system while collaborating with internal teams, customers, and industry stakeholders.

About you:

  • Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with 4+ years' post-qualification experience in power system operations
  • Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder skills
  • Proven ability to deliver, influence, and work effectively in a team
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable working with large datasets
  • Innovative, adaptable and detail-oriented
