Job summary

Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) Dounreay is seeking three Senior Engineers to provide technical leadership and oversight across key projects and programmes. These site-based roles will support facility engineering for the Dounreay Fast Reactor and Prototype Fast Reactor facilities, acting as Technical Authority to ensure safety, compliance and performance of plant and infrastructure.

Reporting to the Facility Principal Engineer, you will guide operations managers and maintenance teams to

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience.
Excellent knowledge of all stages of the engineering lifecycle.
Proven experience in plant and facility modifications.
Extensive facility engineering experience in a highly regulated environment.
Ability to interact with all programme and operations areas.

Responsibilities

Maintaining engineering oversight for assigned facilities across lifecycle, including decommissioning.
Conducting facility walkdowns and tracking corrective actions.
Monitoring maintenance activities and engineering improvements.
Managing engineering activities to meet cost, schedule, quality and compliance.
Leading and approving engineering tasks and supporting larger project changes.
Ensuring engineering records are accurate and auditable.
