Senior Engineer - Mechanical or Civil Bias

• Location: Hinton House, Warrington (minimum of 3 days per week office attendance)
• Arrangement: Contract or permanent
• Rate: Up to £55/hr Umbrella DOE

NUVIA UK's Technical Services & Consulting department is expanding, offering hybrid opportunities across the country. We aim to build a multidisciplinary team to provide our clients with a broad range of expertise.

BPSS clearance at basic level is required. Previous clearance is not transferable.

Role responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Technical team in managing the leak within MSSS Original Building.
• Leading work packages with autonomy, requiring limited support once familiar with the tasks.
• Performing work independently; ad-hoc support may be available but no additional resources are guaranteed.
• Scoping and specifying technical work.
• Leading specific work packages, either internally or externally delivered.
• Producing and presenting Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) reports.
• Reviewing work of other team members.
• Planning future scope, including transitioning from technical work to design or projects.
• Engaging with regulatory bodies on assigned work packages.

Candidate profile:

Background:

• Chartered status in their discipline.
• Engineering discipline expertise.
• Experience in the nuclear industry, preferably with Sellafield MSSS and Silos.

Experience (minimum 4 of the following):

• Technical assessment and review.
• Study delivery.
• Strategy development.
• Technology development / R&D.
• Plant trials.
• Early design delivery (study and concept phases).
• Project or programme management.
