Job Description:

At Heathrow, keeping our passengers, colleagues, and customers safe is our top priority. We have an exciting opportunity for candidates with a background in Control Systems or Electrical Engineering, and a strong understanding of cyber security.

This role involves overseeing engineering systems at the airport and collaborating with teams in operations, maintenance, development, supply chain, finance, and safety. The goal is to ensure asset replacement and compliance align with Heathrow's strategic objectives for procurement, delivery, and planning. Effective communication, teamwork, and independence are essential.

The role provides technical support for asset management strategy and oversees Operation Technology interfacing with Fire systems, Mechanical, Water, Building Management, Electrical, Environmental, Rail, and Security.

This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence 3 days a week.

  • Understand asset performance in terms of cost, service, and risk, collaborating with maintenance, development, and supply chain teams.
  • Ensure awareness of asset risks and develop plans to manage them.
  • Support Development and Maintenance teams to ensure assets are fit for purpose and support Quality Plans.
  • Provide technical knowledge to operational teams to meet asset strategies.
  • Incorporated Engineer status (or expected within 12 months) in Systems Control or Electrical, with relevant asset management qualification.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance practices, strategies, whole life cost principles, and legislation.
  • Ability to influence at all levels and advise stakeholders and contractors.
  • Strong analytical skills for managing complex scenarios, continuous improvement, and developing solutions considering costs, performance, and risks.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security methodologies including IEC62443, ISO27001, with a passion to develop in this space.
