SmartWorking (Hybrid Working)

Our client’s SmartWorking policy permits up to 12 days/month working from home or a secure UK location, even during leave periods, allowing around 60% remote work.

Role and Main Responsibilities

A Senior Engineer, HSE at EniProgetti Basingstoke, will be responsible for:

• Producing project safety deliverables (HSE Plans, HSE Philosophy, ToRs for Safety workshops, Scopes of Work).
• Organising and attending safety workshops (ENVID, SIMOPS).
• Participating in safety workshops (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL).
• Liaising with clients and external stakeholders.
• Overseeing specialist contractors to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Acting as part of the Safety and Environment team, potentially as Project Discipline Leader.
• Advising on HSE regulatory compliance.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

• Experience in procurement phases: evaluating tender documents, preparing and discussing clarifications, and conducting HSE and technical bid evaluations.
• Knowledge of UK HSE legislation.
• Experience in oil and gas or energy design projects.
• Ability to work independently and in teams to deliver high-quality results on schedule.
• Familiarity with UK legislation and permitting processes.
• Development of EBS Scope of Work (SoW).
• Experience attending safety workshops (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, ALARP, SIMOPS).
• Technical Bid Evaluation experience.
• Stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Relevant project experience.
