Job summary

Gleeson Homes in Leeds is seeking a Senior Engineer to support the Regional Technical team and the operating team, ensuring projects meet NHBC standards, Building Regs, and statutory requirements while mentoring juniors.

You will lead feasibility studies, coordinate consultants, manage site infrastructure procurement, and prepare KPI status reports, with a strong eye for detail and commercial awareness in a growing national housebuilder.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification or strong experience in technical design, and/or civil engineering.
• Knowledge of engineering requirements of the house building industry and the regulatory framework.
• Awareness of NHBC, LABC and SBD standards and related processes.
• Good numeracy and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical/engineering support to land/development teams for feasibility studies and site viability reports.
• Identify external consultants, set fees, scope, timescales and deliverables.
• Manage consultants to ensure timely information flow and alignment with NHBC standards.
• Assist in tendering, setting up on-site management companies and ensuring legal aspects of agreements.
• Coordinate utilities design, quotes, and agreements; manage adoption process; attend technical meetings on site infrastructure.
