Job summary

Transport for London (TfL) seeks a Senior Engineer to lead on External Risks Infrastructure Protection, focusing on third‑party assets that may impact TfL’s railway and transport networks. The role includes vehicle incursion risk assessments, bridge strike data analysis, and representing TfL in external risk initiatives.

You will manage Outside Party jobs, provide engineering oversight, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain asset information to support risk reduction and compliant

Qualifications

• Ability to gather, analyse and interpret engineering, asset and maintenance information from multiple sources.
• Ability to engage with and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and maintain databases, asset registers and information management processes.
• Ability to identify engineering and long-term risks from construction adjacent to the railway.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of a central register of third‑party assets.
• Review data sources, inspections, and maintenance information to identify third‑party assets.
• Act as the Infrastructure Protection lead for Vehicle Incursion Risk Assessments.
• Represent TfL Infrastructure Protection at bridge strike prevention forums and working groups.
• Manage Outside Party projects with engineering oversight and stakeholder interfaces.
