Job summary

Transport for London is recruiting a Senior Engineer to lead the External Risks Infrastructure Protection portfolio. The role focuses on third-party assets impacting railway and transport infrastructure, vehicle incursion risk assessments, and representing TfL on external risk initiatives.

You will manage outside party jobs, coordinate with stakeholders and TfL assurance teams, and oversee project delivery from bid to handover.

Qualifications

• Ability to gather and interpret engineering, asset and maintenance information from multiple sources.
• Ability to engage with and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and maintain databases, asset registers and information management processes.
• Ability to identify engineering and long-term risks from construction adjacent to the railway, establish mitigation measures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of a central register of third-party assets.
• Review data sources and asset records to identify risk and owners.
• Act as Infrastructure Protection lead for Vehicle Incursion Risk Assessments across the TfL network.
• Represent TfL at bridge strike prevention forums and data analysis groups.
• Manage Outside Party jobs, coordinating interfaces and tracking project costs.
