Job description

Overview

We are seeking a number of experienced Senior Engineers with specialised expertise in VMware Horizon, Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM), App Volumes, Windows 11, Unified Access Gateway (UAG), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), and NetIQ. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in VDI management within a scalable environment and demonstrate the ability to design, implement, and maintain end-user computing solutions.

Sopra Steria is developing a new Managed Service to replace a complex legacy Enterprise infrastructure. This will require a high level of automation and repeatable component design patterns to allow the deployment of customer business solutions within short time frames. The project will make heavy use of Windows and VMware technologies, along with Ansible, Terraform and Scripting supported by niche infrastructure and applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain end-user computing solutions within a scalable VDI environment.
• Contribute to automation and repeatable component design patterns to enable rapid deployment of customer business solutions.
• Work with Windows and VMware technologies, Ansible, Terraform and scripting to support the project.

Qualifications

• What you’ll bring: VMware Horizon & UAG; VMware Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM); App Volumes; Windows 11 (including CIS L2 policies, base/gold image deployments).
• It would be great if you had: NetIQ Identity Access Management; PowerShell, scripting, and automation; Security Best Practices / Secure by Design; VMware related qualifications.

Employment Details

• Employment Type: Permanent
