Job Description

This posting is for a Senior Engineer responsible for enabling 24x7 Operations in the Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) product engineering organization. You will manage the uptime of the service and ensure the smooth operation of customer data pipelines that perform complex transformations. Customers rely on the data updated by these pipelines, which have downstream dependencies. Therefore, timely and accurate pipeline completion is crucial. You will also detect anomalies and implement mechanisms for early issue detection to prevent impact on timelines.

Minimum Requirements

• UK Nationals eligible to support UK Government Environments (hold valid UK Passport, UK Birth Certificate, or UK Naturalization Certificate)

Skills and Experience

• BSc or higher in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years supporting data warehousing products, cloud/on-premise BI applications
• Proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL and debugging skills
• Experience troubleshooting network latency, analyzing logs
• Knowledge of ERP, HCM, CX applications (Oracle EBS, Fusion) is a plus
• Programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript
• Understanding of Web Application Architecture
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Experience tuning SQL performance and understanding ETL pipelines
• Ability to manage build, configure, and release activities
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• UK residency of at least 5 years with minimal absence

Responsibilities

• Operate FDI Data pipelines in a lights-out mode
• Develop tools for proactive issue detection
• Perform root cause analysis and automation for recurring issues
• Handle customer issues within SLA
• Coordinate with stakeholders for solutions
• Gather logs, reproduce issues, and document solutions
• Escalate unresolved issues promptly
• Share knowledge and improve processes
