Transport for London (TfL) Engineers are always looking forward. Join us in our Central Engineering team and, as well as maintaining legacy assets, you’ll deliver new systems and solutions. There’s more to it than tubes, roads, buildings, and bridges. This is about connecting communities and creating opportunities, so we’re ready for the 21st century and beyond.
As a Senior Engineer – BIM you will be part of a small team dedicated to implementing the Building Information Modelling methodology across TfL.
Your focus initially will be on the major construction projects, where you will engage with their internal and external stakeholders to raise awareness of the BIM Toolkit (TfL’s suite of BIM guidance and templates) and to ensure that they are applying it correctly and effectively. This will involve ensuring that a Common Data Environment (CDE) is in place, drafting project Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) and reviewing Information Management submissions from the contractor, such as the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
You will also be involved in developing and implementing strategy for BIM across all areas of the business, engaging with stakeholders in Engineering, Capital Projects, Operations and Maintenance, and others such as Asset Strategy, Programme Management, Document Control, and IT.
