About the Team:

Rolls‑Royce SMR requires world‑class engineering analysis capability across a wide range of disciplines, including structural analysis, thermo‑fluids, electrical systems and many more. The Engineering Analysis Capability team develops software solutions that improve the efficiency, quality and scalability of these analytical activities. These solutions range from Python‑based engineering applications and automation tools through to digital workflows, multidisciplinary analysis platforms and AI‑enabled technologies. The team's roadmap includes the adoption of advanced AI approaches, numerical AI models and agentic AI workflows to transform how engineering analysis is performed across the business.

Operating at senior practitioner level, you will design, build and scale enterprise‑grade digital products, automation workflows and AI‑enabled solutions that support engineering analysis throughout the organisation. You will combine hands‑on technical delivery with product‑focused thinking, ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable, compliant and aligned to the wider Digital, Data & AI strategy. You will also provide technical review and oversight of software developed elsewhere across the engineering organisation, supporting software quality, governance and continuous improvement while helping identify opportunities where software and AI can deliver significant engineering value.

We’ll Need You To:

  • Contribute to roadmap planning, sprint activities, prioritisation and MVP development
  • Work closely with Analysis Engineers, Data Scientists, AI specialists, Digital Twin teams and software platform teams
  • Align software solutions with Digital Thread, Digital Twin and enterprise architecture principles
