Rolls‑Royce SMR Limited is seeking a Project Engineer to lead delivery of detailed engineering scope for the Power Station Integration team. You will act as the main integration point between PMO and cross‑discipline engineering teams, translating objectives into executable plans while ensuring safety, quality, schedule and budget adherence.
The role requires a degree in engineering or science, plus experience delivering complex projects in regulated environments.

The Power Station Integration team sits at the heart of our reactor programme, bringing together engineering disciplines to define how the power station operates as one integrated system. The team is responsible for coordinating complex engineering activities across multiple disciplines, ensuring designs are delivered safely, efficiently and in alignment with programme objectives. It plays a critical role in integrating engineering scope, managing interfaces and driving delivery performance across one of the UK’s most exciting clean energy programmes.
We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Power Station Integration team. In this role, you will lead and coordinate the delivery of detailed engineering scope within the Rolls‑Royce SMR programme, acting as the primary integration point between the Project Management Organisation (PMO) and multidisciplinary engineering teams. You’ll be responsible for translating programme objectives into executable engineering plans, ensuring engineering activities are delivered safely, to quality, on schedule and within budget. Working across a complex stakeholder environment, you’ll proactively manage technical risks, dependencies and engineering subcontractor performance to support successful programme delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to influence the delivery of a first‑of‑a‑kind nuclear technology programme that will help shape the future of low‑carbon energy.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the centre of one of the most ambitious engineering programmes in the UK. You’ll coordinate complex multidisciplinary engineering activities, influence major programme decisions and help drive delivery of a globally significant clean energy technology. Working within a highly collaborative environment, you’ll gain exposure to leading engineers, programme professionals and industry experts while contributing directly to the successful delivery of the Rolls‑Royce SMR programme.
We offer flexible and hybrid working arrangements, and this role can be based from any Rolls‑Royce SMR location. Regular travel may be required to support collaboration with engineering teams, suppliers, delivery partners and stakeholders across the business.
We anticipate paying a salary of between £60,000-£78,750.
The recruitment process is expected to consist of an initial conversation with the Talent Acquisition team, followed by formal interview stages with hiring managers and key engineering stakeholders.
