Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Technical knowledge of engineering and best practices.
  • Valid CSCS / CSR card is required.
  • Full Driving License needed.
  • First Aid at Work certification is necessary.
  • Knowledge of building regulations and Health and Safety.
  • Experience in various engineering sectors is preferred.
  • Experience with RAMS and 3-day look-up is beneficial.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.

Responsibilities

  • Record and test workmanship and materials.
  • Provide engineering support for technical problems.
  • Set out works within allowable tolerances.
  • Regularly check and calibrate setting out points.
  • Ensure workforce understands setting out information.
  • Maintain dimensional control for accurate construction.
  • Proactively manage Health and Safety on site.
  • Coordinate and supervise temporary works as required.
  • Implement test and inspection plans for site works.

Skills

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

Job Title: Senior Engineer

As a Senior Engineer, you will be primarily involved in the daily inspection of the quality of work completed onsite. Alongside the site team, you will initiate continuous improvements to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget. This will ensure the customers’ expectations are met, whilst aligning activities within industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  1. Build strong working relationships with the Engineering team and sub-contractors.
  2. Assist in managing systems to enable the progress of work to be reviewed against time, quality, dimensions, and quantity.
  3. Assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, e.g., drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork.
  4. Provide engineering support to overcome technical problems and answer queries.
  5. Set out works within allowable tolerances.
  6. Regularly check setting out points and benchmarks; ensure all instruments are calibrated and recorded.
  7. Ensure the workforce understands setting out information suitable for the work.
  8. Maintain setting out and dimensional control for accurate construction.
  9. Proactively manage Health and Safety on site.
  10. Coordinate and supervise temporary works as required.
  11. Implement test and inspection plans for all works on site.
Skills and Experience:
  1. Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Technical knowledge of engineering and best practices.
