Job summary

Ecm Selection seeks aSenior engineer to join a multidisciplinary team in Guildford. You will contribute to developing effective technology solutions for UK government clients, combining software with hardware components and leading project efforts.

The role requires mentoring junior engineers, driving project direction, and maintaining strong client communications through reports and presentations. A strong background in embedded C/C++ and hardware design is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have commercial experience developing integrated software-hardware products.
• Proficient in C or C++ (embedded experience recommended).
• Electronics knowledge in hardware comms, FPGAs or PCB design.
• UK national.

Responsibilities

A world class technical consultancy based in central Surrey is looking for a senior engineer to join their multidisciplinary team in developing effective technology solutions for UK government clients. Project vary in scale and complexity but tend to incorporate custom hardware with innovative software. Due to the sensitivity of certain projects candidates are required to be UK nationals.

Requirements:

• Commercial experience developing integrated software-hardware products
• Software skills in C or C++ (this can be from embedded systems)
• Electronics knowledge in hardware comms, FPGAs or PCB design
• A master’s or PhD in a numerate discipline with strong supporting A Levels including A*’s (or equivalent) in Maths and Physics
• UK National

Successful candidates will also have the knowledge and experience to mentor more junior members of the team and will be happy to drive the direction of new projects, taking responsibility for ensuring their success. An important aspect of this will be nurturing relationships with clients and clearly communicating progress through written reports and presentations.
