Job summary

Bimplus is recruiting an experienced Senior Engineer to lead marine and reinforced concrete construction on a major infrastructure project in the United Kingdom. The role centers on delivering technical leadership, coordinating engineering activities and ensuring works align with the project programme.

You will review drawings and specifications, manage QA documentation and ITPs, and support handover, while mentoring site engineers and collaborating with site management, design and construction

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or Site Engineer on civil, marine, structural or reinforced concrete projects.
• Strong technical understanding of reinforced concrete construction, including reinforcement, formwork, pours and structural elements.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering leadership across marine and reinforced concrete construction activities.

• Coordinate with Site Management, Design and Construction teams to resolve technical issues.
• Carry out quality inspections and ensure works comply with project requirements.

• Maintain accurate site records, as-built information and engineering documentation.
• Assist with handover documentation, as-built records and project close-out.
• Support management of subcontractors and ensure engineering requirements are clearly communicated.
• Lead and mentor Site Engineers and junior staff; communicate effectively.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a major marine infrastructure project involving significant reinforced concrete and marine construction works. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile infrastructure scheme.

The Role

• Providing technical engineering leadership across marine and reinforced concrete construction activities.
• Managing and coordinating engineering activities to ensure works are delivered in accordance with the programme.
• Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinating with the Site Management, Design and Construction teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful delivery.
• Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring works comply with project requirements.
• Producing and maintaining QA documentation, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection records and check sheets.
• Maintaining accurate site records, as-built information and engineering documentation.
• Supporting the management of subcontractors and ensuring engineering requirements are clearly communicated and achieved.
• Assisting with handover documentation, as-built records and project close-out.
• Working closely with the wider engineering and construction team to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
• Proven experience working as a Senior Engineer or experienced Site Engineer on civil engineering, marine, structural or reinforced concrete projects.
• Strong technical understanding of reinforced concrete construction, including reinforcement, formwork, concrete pours and structural elements.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Experience producing and maintaining QA documentation, ITPs and inspection records.
• Ability to lead and support Site Engineers and junior engineering staff.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
