Job description

Role: Senior Engineer

Location: Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria

Day rate: 400 - 450/day

Our client is currently looking for a Senior Engineer with earthworks, EA or Flood Defence experience to get started immediately in the Cumbria area on a major new project.

Role:

• Managing the engineering of earthworks, environmental and flood defence schemes
• Reviewing RAMS, ITPs, producing as builts
• Checking the setting out and surveying of site engineers
• Preparing and maintaining QA documentation
• Liasing with the senior management team
• Liasing with the external design team
• Managing subcontractors; checking and maintaining QA and HSE standards

Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience within civil engineering, preferably in the environmental agency or flood defence sectors
• CSCS
• HNC/ HND in Civil Engineering minimum
