Job summary

JRL Group is onsite with our latest high rise project in Birmingham. We are seeking an ambitious Senior Engineer to lead site teams, coordinate temporary works, and support the PM and wider construction teams.

Ideal candidates will hold a Civil Engineering degree, CSCS and SMSTS, with concrete/RC frame experience and a mindset to progress into Project Management. Long-term opportunities and competitive rates available.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree is preferred.
• CSCS card & SMSTS desirable; 1st Aid beneficial.
• Experience with sub/superstructure packages, concrete/RC frames, basements preferred.
• Candidate should be keen to progress into Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Site Engineers on site.
• Oversee material and plant requisition and controls.
• Carry out and record quality inspections on site.

JRL Group is onsite with our latest, exciting, high rise project in Birmingham, utilising all of our in-house expertise.

J Reddington have been an industry leading groundwork and concrete (RC) frame specialist for three decades. Building on a proven track record to date, the company is now increasingly being called upon to deliver solutions on larger projects in Nationally and we require an ambitious Senior Engineer to join our team.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Manage & lead a team of Site Engineers.
• Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and plant.
• Carry out and record quality inspections.
• Use digital / web platforms ie. Fieldview, Viewpoint for projects, Topcon magnetic field / office.
• Drawing interrogation and RFI’s (request for information).
• Provide support to the PM & wider construction teams.
• Carry out the role of a Temporary Works Coordinator, coordinating temporary works designs and issuing permits.
• Find solutions to any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

Requirements:

• Civil Engineering or Construction related degree qualified would be ideal.
• Hold a valid CSCS card & SMSTS, 1st Aid is beneficial not compulsory.
• Ability to demonstrate having previously worked on sub & superstructures packages, in particular concrete / RC frame structures & basements.
• Ideally have aspirations of progressing into a Project Management role.
• Be hungry for growth within the business.
