Job summary

iberdrola UK is recruiting a Senior Engineer / Senior Energy System Specialist to lead energy planning and strategic optimisation across SP Energy Networks, with Glasgow or Prenton as primary locations and other licence areas possible.

You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver regulatory outputs, manage stakeholder engagement, and apply technical network analysis to support Net Zero initiatives and the Just Transition.

Qualifications

• Project management experience required for delivering multiple projects.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Excellent written and oral communication with stakeholders.
• Experience with energy systems and network planning beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead energy planning activities and inputs for LAEPs, LHEES, LDP and related strategies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across SP Energy Networks.
• Engage with regulators and external parties to support energy planning processes.
• Perform technical network analysis and support strategic optimisation activities.
• Deliver regulatory outputs and contribute to ED2/ED3 preparations.
