Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a lead adviser on strategic energy growth to work with senior officers and elected members. The role focuses on national energy investments, policy interpretation and building partnerships with government, investors and academia, with an emphasis on fusion and future energy systems.

The post supports hybrid working with a nominated base and periodic commuting, and requires clear spoken English to advise customers under a Fluency Duty.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Act as the Council's lead adviser on strategic energy developments.
• Monitor and interpret UK energy policy across nuclear, fusion, hydrogen and electricity infrastructure.
• Advise and brief senior politicians, executive officers and key stakeholders.
• Build relationships across government, industry, investors, universities and delivery agencies.
• Identify growth opportunities from major energy investment and turn them into programmes and projects.
• Develop business cases for infrastructure and economic development initiatives.
• Support skills, workforce and training solutions for Lincolnshire residents.
• Position local businesses to access emerging supply chain opportunities.
• Weigh opportunities against risks and provide evidence-based advice to support decisions.
