Lincolnshire County Council is seeking an exceptional strategic thinker to direct work at the forefront of one of the UK's most significant energy opportunities.

The Senior Energy Adviser will act as the lead adviser on energy-related growth opportunities, working with senior officers, elected members, regional bodies, government departments, investors, businesses, universities and national delivery bodies.

Qualifications

• Ability to assimilate complex issues and translate them into clear strategic advice and action.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders across the public and private sectors.
• Experience influencing decision-makers and building effective partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Act as Lincolnshire County Council's lead adviser on strategic energy developments.
• Monitor and interpret developments in UK energy policy, including nuclear, fusion, hydrogen, electricity infrastructure and industrial energy systems.
• Provide advice and briefing senior politicians, executive officers and key stakeholders.
• Build relationships across government departments, local authorities, industry, investors, universities and delivery agencies.
• Identify economic growth opportunities arising from major energy investments and translate them into practical programmes and projects.
• Develop compelling business cases for infrastructure and economic development initiatives.
• Support the development of skills, workforce and training solutions that prepare Lincolnshire residents for future opportunities.
• Ensure local businesses are positioned to access emerging supply chain opportunities.
• Balance opportunities with risks and provide evidence-based assessment to support decision-making.
