Salary: £45,000 – £60,000
Location: Bath (other locations available)
Flexibility:
Hybrid, with occasional travel between UK offices

The Role

A Senior Energy Engineer is sought to join the Energy Consulting team, with flexibility to be based in London, Bath, Manchester, Leeds, or Edinburgh. The position involves hybrid working and occasional international travel. The role encompasses delivering energy solutions across various scales, from national energy system analytics to detailed design of district energy and smart grid installations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement low and zero-carbon technologies within district energy systems.
  • Conduct economic modelling for energy systems to support feasibility studies and option appraisals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects at local, national, and international levels.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering, energy, physics, or environmental science.
  • Professional registration (e.g. CEng) or be progressing towards it.
  • A solid understanding of UK energy policy and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with building-integrated and utility-scale energy systems.
  • Proficiency in economic modelling related to energy systems.
  • Familiarity with CIBSE Heat Network Consultant standards (CP1 2020) is advantageous.
