AECOM’s Sustainability & Decarbonisation Advisory team is a leader in Decentralised Energy, including District Heating, District Cooling, Renewables, and energy storage. We specialise in district heating delivery and are looking to grow our team.

Currently, we have a requirement for a Senior Engineer with a focus on technical leadership and delivery. We seek someone with a strong understanding of the UK energy market, decarbonization strategies for buildings, estates, towns, and cities, and experience in designing and deploying DH networks at scale.

The team focuses on low-carbon sustainable energy network design, covering opportunity identification, feasibility studies, business case development, design, commercialization, procurement, construction support, and post-construction monitoring. We work on projects across the UK&I, the Middle East, and Europe, and support UK government schemes, including acting as technical advisors on HNIP and GHNF grant schemes and heat network Zoning.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with expertise in technical leadership and project delivery, especially within the UK energy market and decarbonization of urban environments.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for career advancement for passionate, capable, and leadership-oriented candidates.

The team’s expertise covers low-carbon energy network design from initial opportunities to post-construction, with projects across UK&I, the Middle East, and Europe. We also support UK government initiatives, including HNIP and GHNF schemes and heat network zoning.

Qualifications

• Track record of project delivery from concept to operation
• MEng / BEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is a plus
