Job summary

BCUHB North Wales is seeking an experienced Clinical Endoscopist to join a multidisciplinary team and lead with advanced endoscopy practice. The post requires JAG accreditation and evidence of a portfolio, with independent practice across upper and lower GI procedures and nurse-led clinics for ongoing care.

The role includes 7-day working as the department expands, and a commitment to ongoing professional development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Fully trained, independent and JAG accredited Clinical Endoscopist.
• Evidence of a JAG portfolio and certificate is required.
• Masters degree in the relevant field or commitment to completing within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic Upper Oesophageal-gastro-duodenoscopies (OGD), Colonoscopy and Flexible Sigmoidoscopy on sedated and non-sedated patients.
• Manage own caseload of patients through nurse-led clinics for GI symptoms, with consultant support.
• Demonstrate advanced clinical judgment and communicate findings to patients for appropriate management.
