Job summary

Barts Health NHS Trust invites applications for a Clinical Endoscopist within the Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Service at Whipps Cross University Hospital. The postholder will perform high quality Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy and Flexible sigmoidoscopy in a high-volume service and work within a multidisciplinary CNS team to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a trainee or trained clinical Endoscopist in an acute Trust setting.
• Leadership/management experience.
• Experience working in endoscopy and gastroenterology.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy and Flexible sigmoidoscopy within a high-volume service.
• Attend MDT meetings in colorectal, hepatobiliary and upper GI.
• Autonomously manage a caseload using advanced assessment skills, including both face-to-face and virtual nurse-led clinics.
• Provide training to other Clinical Endoscopists, medical and/or surgical trainees.
