Job summary

Make UK, the UK's leading manufacturing and engineering sector trade body, seeks an Employment Lawyer to join as Senior Legal Adviser in the North of England. You will work with a client portfolio, providing pragmatic consultancy on a range of employment matters and handling tribunals when required.

You will draft contracts and policies, deliver seminars, and support member recruitment. The role offers home-based work with occasional attendance at Warrington/Sheffield offices and opportunities

Qualifications

• Substantial PQE in employment law with multi-client advisory experience.
• Experience advising clients on employment law, employee relations, and HR matters.
• Proven track record handling tribunal cases with minimal supervision.
• Advocacy experience in Employment Tribunals is a plus.
• Ability to provide practical, commercial employment law advice.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive employment law and employee relations advice via meetings, calls, and correspondence.
• Manage employment litigation in the Employment Tribunal from start to finish, including advocacy (training provided).
• Draft and scrutinize contracts of employment, policies, and other documents.
• Present seminars on employment law and employee relations topics.
