Job summary

Chadwick Nott Legal Recruitment represents a leading national law firm seeking an experienced Senior Employment Lawyer to join the Employment team with the option to base in Bristol or Cardiff. This senior role combines high‑quality fee‑earning with leadership responsibilities and a clear pathway into senior management.

You will manage your own caseload across claimant and respondent matters, mentor junior lawyers, audit cases, and help drive profitability while promoting diversity and client

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor, barrister, FCILEx or extensive equivalent experience.
• Significant experience across the full spectrum of employment law.
• Strong background in both claimant and respondent work.
• Proven experience leading, supervising and developing employment lawyers.
• Ability to manage complex tribunal litigation.
• Experience working with both lay clients and insurer clients.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of employment matters.
• Provide strategic, technical and practical guidance to the wider team.
• Lead, supervise and mentor Solicitors and Paralegals.
• Audit cases to ensure high standards.
• Manage performance and support team development.
• Handle complaints and liaise with Compliance as required.
• Assist with recruitment for the group.
• Represent the team internally and externally to build strong relationships.
• Support the Group Leader in driving profitability and best practice.
