Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a qualified employment law specialist to join our UK-based team. You will provide senior-level legal judgement on complex employee relations matters, support HR and leadership, and help reduce litigation risk across markets.

Responsibilities include advising on non-routine issues, drafting practical templates and playbooks, coordinating external counsel, and tracking legal developments to keep policies up-to-date in a fast-paced, multi-market marketplace

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with UK employment law experience.
• Experience advising HR and leaders on employee relations matters.
• Strong judgement on sensitive people matters and risk.
• Ability to translate legal requirements into workable policies and templates.
• Experience coordinating external counsel and litigation.
• Experience in multi-country or complex operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead senior-level employment and labour matters in the UK and other markets.
• Advise HR, Operations and leadership on non-routine employment issues, restructures and disputes.
• Define practical positions and escalation thresholds for sensitive matters with exposure.
• Manage external counsel, courts and settlements where required.
• Develop templates, guidance and playbooks to improve consistency.
• Monitor legal developments and translate them into updates for stakeholders and junior colleagues.
