Job Description:

This London-based consultancy works with residential developers and housing associations on major new build projects. They are looking to hire an Employer’s Agent with a background in quantity surveying or building surveying, at either intermediate or senior level.

Working alongside an experienced Director, you will serve as EA, QS, and Project Manager to the end client, taking projects from inception to completion.

Key duties will include:

  1. Creating & administering a range of JCT contracts.
  2. Chairing & minuting regular site meetings.
  3. Analyzing progress and writing detailed reports.
  4. Advising on planning, legal, and contractual issues.
  5. Conducting interim valuations and cost appraisals.
  6. Analyzing key contract documents to identify potential risks.

Candidates should have previous consultancy experience in the residential sector with a background in quantity surveying or building surveying. MRICS qualification or working towards completing the APC is preferred. Excellent communication skills, strong client relationship development, and stakeholder negotiation abilities are essential.
