Job description

A fixed-term role is available for immediate start for a Band 6 Senior Employee Relations Advisor for 8 months. A development role would also be considered for a Band 5 Employee Relations Advisor for the same period.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Working in partnership with the Triumvirate structure to provide a professional service to managers and employees, including those on agenda for change and medical and dental schemes, ensuring compliance with Trust policies, processes, terms and conditions of service, best practices, and employment legislation.
  2. Collaborating with directorate managers in a consultative approach to understand specific challenges and enhance workforce retention.
  3. Contributing to workforce plans development alongside relevant managers and the Head of Employee Relations and Wellbeing.
  4. Championing Restorative and Just Learning Culture principles and practices.
  5. Working with colleagues across the Workforce and Organisational Development functions, internal Business Units, and external NHS Trusts within the Sussex ICB and wider NHS to share learning and benchmark best practices.
  6. Managing employee relations caseloads.
  7. Leading change management initiatives.
  8. Providing training and development.
  9. Engaging in analysis and strategic policy and service development.
  10. Managing managerial and people management responsibilities.
