Job summary

Festival of Work is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Adviser to join the People and Workforce team on a permanent, hybrid basis in London. You will provide proactive ER advisory support to line managers and staff, guiding early resolution of complex cases while navigating employment terms and union interactions.

The role requires extensive ER experience, solid knowledge of employment legislation, and the ability to advise senior leaders with clear, pragmatic guidance.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience working within an Employee Relations, HR or People function.
  • ER advisory experience in a large complex organisation - ideally the NHS but we will look at candidates from the wider public sector.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and its practical application.
  • Experience advising managers and senior leaders on challenging people issues.
  • Experience of working constructively with recognised trade unions and staff representatives.
  • Excellent investigation, influencing, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
  • The ability to interpret complex information and provide clear, pragmatic and proportionate advice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a proactive and supportive advisory service to line managers and staff on HR issues.
  • Provide high quality advice and guidance directly to managers to facilitate early resolution of difficult and complex employee relations cases.
  • Advise managers on the application and interpretation of Trust policies, procedures and guidance to ensure consistency and best practice.

My NHS Trust client are seeking an experienced, proactive and highly motivated **Senior ER Adviser** to join our People and Workforce team on a permanent basis.
