Job Description:

This role is to support a Senior Group Risk Consultant in all aspects of Group Risk administration and provide support where needed for New Business. You will be part of a wider administration team.

Experience

  • 3+ years experience within an Employee Benefit Consultancy.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of Group Risk.
  • Outstanding telephone manner with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, work to tight deadlines and stay focused under pressure.
  • Team player but must be able to work independently and use own initiative.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook with an emphasis on Excel data manipulation.
  • Commitment to pass basic (internal) financial industry exams within 3 months of employment.
  • Achieved or working towards CII IF7 and GR1 qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the general administration of benefits, including:
  • Ensure the smooth running of assigned portfolio on a day-to-day basis.
  • Develop, maintain and cultivate a constructive and professional relationship with clients and insurers at all levels.
  • Coordinate administration of schemes including renewal accounts, membership data, market reviews, claims and medical underwriting processing.
  • Maintain client records and data in line with the business's systems and protocols.
  • Respond proactively to queries from clients and insurers, keeping the Consultant informed as appropriate.
  • Support the Consultant with re-broking and reviewing of schemes.
  • Collate market review information, negotiate with insurers, and draft renewal reports/emails.
  • Contribute positively to the broader group risk & healthcare team and FD initiatives.
  • Participate in company and departmental training, competence, and development initiatives.
  • Meet the regulator’s Fit & Proper requirements continuously.
  • Assist in developing junior team members.
